AFTEX and the Sustainable Textiles of the Asian Region (STAR) Network held their first joint Trade and Sustainability Summit in Bangkok, Thailand, on 6 June 2024, with support from GIZ FABRIC.
More than 100 industry delegates from around 19 nationalities discussed LDC graduation and changing trade patterns, human rights and environmental due diligence, renewable energy adoption and fairer terms of trade between brands and suppliers. Together, AFTEX and STAR members represent well over 60% of global garment exports.
